I am learning a lot. Though I can't directly use some of the information, because I don't create lesson plans, I am happy to pass along the information. Also, as teachers begin using this process, I will be involved in helping my special education students learn to recognize how they learn, process information, and solve problems. They are so dependant on us.

Shannon, I agree that the information problem solving process of Big6 is really helpful with special ed students, as it gives them and their teachers a structure to approach their learning. I appreciate that you are sharing information with the regular ed teachers. I also think that you could use the process as you work with students, independent of whether the classroom teacher is using it. As we teach more of these classes, we hope that the word spreads and more teachers take this approach and use a common vocabulary that kids come to recognize. I'm glad you are learning a lot.
